Great news! TASC has released version 2.0 of its popular MyTASC Mobile App!

More than 14,000 customers are already managing their TASC FlexSystem accounts on the go! With Version 2.0, Participants will be empowered to do more than ever via their mobile device, and they’ll find it easier than ever to manage their FlexSystem account.

Per popular request—Participants will be able to submit requests for reimbursement and submit substantiation documents (using a phone camera)!

And to simplify login, they will be able to make these choices, as they wish:

  • Enter their TASC ID with or without the dashes.
  • Remember login information on their device.
  • Get assistance by clicking a Help icon.

MyTASC Mobile App 2.0 still offers the following original features:

  • FlexSystem account balances
  • Free download from Apple App Store and Android Market
  • Login with current MyTASC username and password
  • Secure account access through Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption over the Internet

TASC’s Position: $2,500 Flexible Spending Account Cap

Beginning in January 2013, medical Flexible Spending Account (FSA) contributions will be capped at $2,500 per year, per employee, as set forth by the Patient Protection & Affordable Care (PPACA).

Currently most employers cap FSAs at $5,000 even though there is no mandated limit. Meanwhile, over 85 percent of all medical FSA participants fund less than $2,500 annually. In fact, the annual amount funded averages between $1,300-$1,400. 

TASC is pro-Client and pro-Participant! TASC interprets the intent of the statutes as such: Clients who complete their 2013 enrollment by electing their medical FSA contribution level within the 2012 calendar year would not be subject to the pending FSA cap until the following Plan Year. The new $2,500 mandate will therefore apply to any Plan Year starting February 1, 2013 or later. With the effective date for this provision still 13 months away, additional federal guidance may yet be forthcoming.

Rest assured that TASC will continue to respond and implement the necessary changes and administrative process updates to comply.


MyCash in Action

Every day more and more customers are enjoying the TASC Card’s new MyCash account. In fact, by Thanksgiving, most of our 250,000 FlexSystem TASC Card holders will have the ability to receive reimbursements in this innovative new cash account on their TASC Card.

Just over one month ago, we initiated full launch by activating MyCash for about 1,700 Clients and their 45,000 employees. Paper reimbursement checks were instantly replaced with MyCash deposits (for all Participants without direct deposit elected). Within the first two weeks, over 1,000 reimbursements were made to customers’ TASC Cards, equaling over $366,000!

In early November, MyCash activations kicked-in for another 56,000 customers, and now more than 15,000 customers are being activated each day. In the first half of November, more than 2,000 reimbursements (totaling over $700,000) were deposited in MyCash accounts!

Join the MyCash mania! If your employees currently use direct deposit, they may enjoy MyCash even more! To choose MyCash over direct deposit, your employees simply need to login to MyTASC, go to Direct Deposit Setup, and de-select direct deposit by removing their account information. Then they, too, can take advantage of this fast and convenient reimbursement feature.

TASC Card MyCash: 3, 2, 1… Launch!

The TASC Card featuring the new cash account—MyCash—is set for take off! The usual benefits account—MyBenefits—coupled with the MyCash account make the TASC Card more versatile than ever.

Launch

The week of October 17 begins the launch to approximately 1,700 FlexSystem Clients and their 50,000 Participants. Earlier this week all affected FlexSystem Clients were emailed their Participants’ estimated activation dates. In early November MyCash will be activated for another group of Clients and their 75,000 Participants. Later in November several thousand remaining cards will go-live with MyCash. At that time, Participants with the MasterCard Benefits Card will receive a replacement TASC Visa Card.

Communication Plan

Clients will receive a MyCash Client Mailing a few weeks prior to activation. An email will soon follow to confirm activation date, and to provide additional information and an Employee Handout. Affected Participants will receive a Participant MyCash Mailing at their home address. Those with an email address on file will also receive an email update with their activation date and a later reminder when MyCash goes live on their TASC Card.

All communications are posted on the TASC Card Website… Visit often for new materials, answers to FAQs, webinar offerings, and more.
